Udupi, Jun 25: Adani Power Limited – Udupi TPP, operating in Yelluru village of Udupi district, successfully organized a large-scale blood donation camp under the banner ‘Go-Red’ on June 24 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
This camp was held in celebration of the birthday of Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of the Adani Group. The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp, led by Dr Veena Kumari, head of the Blood Bank of Udupi District Hospital, Kishore Alva, president and executive director of the Adani Group, along with senior officials from various departments of the organization.


In his inaugural address, Kishore Alva said, "Every year on June 24, across the country, Adani Group facilities organize blood donation camps on the occasion of Gautam Adani's birthday. Thousands of units of blood are collected and donated to local blood banks. This noble initiative has helped save countless lives and has become a significant act of service to society."
Employees of Udupi TPP and their family members participated enthusiastically in the camp, along with contract and outsourced staff who also volunteered with great spirit.
Dr Veena, speaking on the occasion, noted, “For the past 10 years, Adani Group has been consistently organizing these camps. The employees of Adani have voluntarily contributed blood, which has greatly supported the blood banks of Udupi and Mangaluru district hospitals. This is truly a matter of pride for the undivided district.”
The camp, which ran throughout the day, resulted in the collection of 324 units of blood. Adani Foundation expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the donors at the end of the event.
