Mangaluru, Jun 24: As part of its unwavering commitment to social responsibility and community development, MCC Bank has undertaken a series of impactful initiatives in the month of June 2025, reaching various schools, orphanages, and institutions across Mangaluru, Udupi, and surrounding regions.
These activities were spearheaded by the Bank’s chairman Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo and the board of directors.

The bank has supported the students of St Antony Primary School, Padukone, Stella Maris High School, Gangolli, St Mary’s School, Kundapura, St Joseph Primary and High School, Kundapura, Nirmala High School, Brahmavara, Cosmopolitan Higher Primary School, Brahmavara, Kulur High School, Mangaluru, St Anjela Home, Bejai, De Mercede Orphanage, Paneer, St Ignatius Loyola School, Paladka, St Rita Higher Primary School, Jeppu, Ladyhill Higher Primary School, Urwa and Mai De Deus Higher Primary School, Puttur, by way of distributing note books, umbrellas and school bags to economically backward students of the school. The Bank also distributed umbrellas to the inmates of St Antony Ashram, Jeppu.
The heads of above institutions were overwhelmed by the noble gesture of the bank and thanked the chairman and directors of the bank for their generosity and concern towards the poor children studying in the Institutions and the inmates of the Ashram.
Through these heartening initiatives, MCC Bank has demonstrated its core values of compassion, inclusion, and service. The distribution of umbrellas, school bags, and notebooks, costing more than Rs 10 lac, across multiple institutions not only provided essential support to underprivileged students but also inspired a culture of gratitude and perseverance. MCC Bank remains committed to empowering the youth and strengthening the community through such meaningful outreach.
While speaking on the occasion, the chairman of the bank Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo called upon the students to remember the Bank’s support. He also called upon the students to be empathetic towards the poor when they grow up and achieve social status.
He also emphasised equality in education and encouraged self-belief. He expressed his happiness in engaging with the enthusiastic students and lauded the institutions for providing a nurturing educational environment. He acknowledged their support to the Bank and reaffirmed MCC Bank’s commitment to support education for the underprivileged.
Directors Dr Gerald Pinto, Elroy Kiran Crasto, Sushanth Saldanha, Sharmila Menezes, Irene Rebello, Roshan D’Souza, Herold J Monteiro, J P Rodrigues, Andrew D’Souza and branch manager of Kundapura, Brahmavara, Ashoknagar, Kankanady, Morgansgate, Puttur and Ullal branches have participated in the above programmes.
