Beltangady, Jun 17: Nichelle Fernandes, a member of Christ the King Church, Venur, was felicitated by the Catholic Sabha for securing highest marks in the PUC examinations.
Fr Edwin Santhosh Monis, the parish priest, praised Nichelle for her outstanding performance and said that her achievement has brought pride to the church. He congratulated Nichelle and her parents, acknowledging her as a multi-talented student.
During the ceremony, Fr Loyston Cordeiro, Church vice president Dennis Sequeira, secretary Jethrud D’Souza, Catholic Sabha Branch president Arun D’Souza, and secretary Gracy Noronha honored Nichelle with a fruit basket, flowers, and a shawl.
Former Catholic Sabha Central president L J Fernandes and others were also present. Nichelle actively contributes to the church choir by playing the keyboard. She is the daughter of Clifford Alwyn Fernandes, the choir director, and Anitha Dias.
