Tel Aviv, Jun 14: At least two people were killed and more than 60 others injured after Iran launched a fresh wave of ballistic missiles targeting residential areas in Israel on Saturday, intensifying the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

The Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s emergency medical service, confirmed the deaths and reported extensive damage. Medical teams rushed to the scene, providing emergency treatment and evacuating the injured to hospitals.

“A woman around 60 was found without signs of life, and a 45-year-old man, critically injured and undergoing CPR, was later declared dead,” said an MDA official. Another woman, aged around 60, sustained serious injuries, while two others were moderately hurt. Sixteen more victims were treated for minor blast injuries and debris wounds.

In a separate strike in the Gush Dan region, 34 more people were injured. Among them, a woman in critical condition was shifted to Beilinson Hospital, while others were taken to Sheba and Ichilov hospitals. At least 13 people suffered panic attacks and were also evacuated.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the missile attack, calling it a severe escalation. Sirens blared across several regions, prompting emergency alerts and immediate lockdowns.

The IDF’s Home Front Command has asked citizens to remain near bomb shelters despite a temporary clearance to exit, warning that more missile threats could follow.

With tensions running high, Israeli authorities have heightened nationwide security. Emergency services remain on red alert amid fears of further Iranian aggression.
