Mangaluru: Steevan Pinto awarded PhD from NITK Surathkal

Mangaluru, Jun 11: Steevan Pinto, chairman of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Mangaluru Chapter, has been awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree by the prestigious National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, an Institution of National Importance.

He successfully defended his doctoral thesis titled ‘Branding the impact of skill development training on employee performance and productivity at Petrochemical Industries’, under the guidance of Dr Rashmi Uchil.

A native of Kateel, Steevan is an alumnus of the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru, and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore. He is currently serving in the Human Resources (HR) department of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), Mangaluru.

He is the son of Alphonse and Lucy Pinto, and the husband of Dr Priya Maria Mascarenhas, who practices medicine at Grace Speciality Homeopathic Clinic in Surathkal. They are blessed with a son, Master Kenric Pinto.
