Mysuru, Jun 6: The third day of the Novena devotion in preparation for the annual feast of St Anthony was observed with deep faith and devotion on June 6, at St Anthony's Basilica in Dornahalli, Mysuru.

The solemn Eucharistic celebration was led by Fr Edward Philip SJ, director of Xavier Sadan, Srirangapatna. He was joined by Fr David Sagayaraj, rector of the Basilica, and Fr Praveen Pedru, administrator of the Basilica, adding spiritual grace to the occasion.

The theme for the day, ‘Hope is the foundation of restoration,’ reflected the importance of faith, trust, and perseverance in times of struggle and uncertainty. Through meaningful reflections and prayer, the faithful were reminded of the strength that hope brings to the human spirit.

After the holy Mass, the Novena prayers were recited with fervent devotion, seeking the powerful intercession of St Anthony for the intentions and needs of all gathered.

The celebration concluded with a reverent procession of the holy statue of St Anthony, followed by the Benediction of the bessed Sacrament. The day left the congregation spiritually renewed and strengthened in their faith.
