Kundapur: Two youths caught with 124.72 grams of MDMA near temple in major drug bust

Kundapur, June 5: In a major drug bust, Kundapura police apprehended two individuals near Kodi Chakreshwari Temple in Kasaba village for possession and alleged sale of the banned narcotic substance MDMA.

The arrested accused have been identified as Mudassir (23), a resident of Sarkarigudde, Subhash Nagar, Kaup Taluk, and Aden Lobo (18), a resident of Udyavara, Udupi taluk.

The duo were allegedly caught red-handed while attempting to sell MDMA. Upon searching the suspects, the police recovered 124.72 grams of MDMA, valued at approximately Rs 2,49,440, along with several items suspected to be used in drug distribution and packaging.

The seized items included a plastic box from Oracle, nine insulin syringes, an ENER-MECH black bag, a fresh-branded plastic box, two weighing machines, 20 small steel containers, a plastic box containing two steel spoons, 36 plastic zip-lock covers, an Allen Solly exclusive metal box, Rs 4,540 in cash, a dragon knife, one Oppo mobile phone, and two Samsung mobile phone handsets.

A case has been registered at Kundapura police station.

The arrested individuals will be presented before the court. Further investigation is underway.
