New Delhi, May 31: In a major development in the ongoing espionage probe, the Delhi Police have arrested the elder brother of a man already under custody for supplying Indian SIM cards to Pakistani intelligence operatives, officials said on Saturday.
The accused, Hasin (42), was arrested from Nagar area in Rajasthan’s Deeg district. He is the elder brother of Kasim, who was arrested earlier this week for his alleged involvement in a spy ring assisting Pakistan's ISI.

According to officials, Hasin visited Pakistan about 15 years ago to meet relatives and has allegedly maintained contact with ISI operatives for the past 4 to 5 years. In August 2024, Hasin allegedly sent a SIM card registered in his name to Pakistan via his brother Kasim, which was later found being used by a Pakistani operative.
“Hasin not only helped smuggle the SIM card across the border but also provided One-Time Passwords (OTPs) to activate WhatsApp accounts for Pakistani handlers,” a senior police official said.
The police further revealed that Hasin is accused of sending photographs of sensitive Indian Army establishments to Pakistani handlers in exchange for money. Investigators suspect he played a crucial role in facilitating the travel of Kasim, along with their sister and brother-in-law, to Pakistan in August 2024, allegedly under the guidance of ISI agents.
Hasin was produced before Delhi’s Patiala House Court, which remanded him to police custody for five days. Officials aim to interrogate him to uncover further links in the espionage network, including Indian collaborators and financial channels.
The breakthrough came during the interrogation of Kasim, who allegedly told police that ISI officials had urged him to collaborate, claiming his brother Hasin was already working for them.
Kasim had reportedly travelled to Pakistan twice — in August 2024 and March 2025 — spending nearly 90 days there. His trips were highlighted when a Pakistani YouTube channel, 'Rehbar-e-Mewat', featured an interview where he expressed his affection for the country. “It feels like home. The love and affection I receive here bring me back again and again,” he said in the video.
Investigations are ongoing to trace the wider espionage network and determine if more individuals in India are linked to this cross-border intelligence operation.
