Mangaluru, May 30: “Learning is a continuous process. Do it passionately so that you succeed and are always one step ahead in your life. Time is valuable because it is finite. So, it is important to use time wisely and productively to excel in studies,” said professor Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions, presiding over the orientation programme held for the I PUC students and parents of Expert PU College, Kodialbail, at Kootakkala Auditorium, Shri Bhagavathi Temple, Kodialbail, Mangaluru on Thursday, May 29.
Vice chairperson of Expert Group of institutions, Dr Usha Prabha N Nayak, in her keynote address emphasised to aim for academic accomplishment by having a clear objective in mind and working continuously towards its realisation, highlighting dedication in heart, discipline in behaviour and effective time management.



She inducted the newly admitted students into the Expert family by administering an oath. The session was initiated with the recital of college anthem and then was symbolically inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp.
Ankush N Nayak, director of Information Technology, Expert Group of Institutions, elaborated the technical facilities at Expert and educated the students and their parents regarding the necessities of basic technical knowhow in the present era especially on the Expert campus, online class platforms, digital payments etc.
Professor Ramachandra Bhat, principal, Expert PU College, Kodialbail, presented a bird’s eye view of the norms of the institution. He asserted that discipline and regularity need to be upheld in order to achieve success in any field.
Shyam Prasad S, coordinator of AICE briefed about competitive examinations leading to professional courses and provided valuable guidance to aspiring participants. He also shared the roadmap for academic planning 2025-26 and its execution.
Amoolya Kamath was felicitated for her exemplary performance securing 599/600 in board exam, 99.7562 percentile in JEE mains, 33rd rank in KCET engineering, setting a benchmark for her juniors.
Ujwal Pradeep, lecturer in Biology, accorded a cordial welcome to the gathering and hosted the programme. Student Welfare Officer for girls Zita D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
The academic committee member B Vinay Kumar, the programme director Radhika Bhat, lecturer in Physics and other faculty members were present.
