Bantwal: Persistent rainfall triggers property damage across several villages in taluk

Bantwal, May 29: Moderate rainfall persisted throughout Thursday across the taluk, continuing to cause rain-related damage in multiple locations. In Balthila village, a mudslide occurred behind the house of local resident Yashodhar, resulting in property loss.

In Meramajalu village, the compound wall adjacent to the residence of Revathi at Thevukadu collapsed due to the rain, damaging the house. Meanwhile, in Kadeshwalya village, Parvathi’s house has suffered partial damage as a result of the weather.

In Tekkigudde, Panemangalore, the residence of Mokshita sustained significant damage due to rain and strong winds. Revenue department officials promptly visited the affected sites and have begun assessing the extent of the losses.
