Vasco, May 21: Vice president of India Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday praised Operation Sindoor, stating that no one has asked for proof of the military strike since the terrorists themselves have revealed evidence to the global community. Speaking at a function organised by the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) in South Goa, Dhankhar said the precise strike sent a clear message to terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
“The operation has sent a global message. It reaffirmed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s declaration from Bihar’s heartland that terrorism will no longer go unpunished,” Dhankhar remarked.

He described the punishment meted out to terrorists as ‘exemplary,’ noting that the strike penetrated deep into enemy territory beyond the international border. “In keeping with our ethos, the target was only terrorists,” he added, expressing satisfaction over the operation’s success.
Dhankhar highlighted that after such a significant achievement, demands for proof have ceased. “The terrorists who were targeted revealed the proof to the entire global fraternity. Their coffins were escorted by the military and political forces of that country, alongside terrorists,” he said.
The Vice President also spoke about India’s rising stature as a global economic and maritime power committed to peace, sustainability, and development. He emphasised that economic growth requires peace, noting, “To become a developed nation, we need an eightfold increase in per capita income. Economic development cannot happen amid war-like situations. Peace is fundamental to growth.”
Dhankhar stressed that peace is rooted in strength strength in security, economy, development, and commitment to the nation.
During his visit to Vasco, Dhankhar dedicated three significant projects at Mormugao Port, including a 3 MW solar power plant, the commercial operation of two harbour mobile cranes, and a covered conveyor drone for coal handling. The event was attended by governor PS Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, union minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shantanu Thakur, Union Minister of State for Power and Renewable Energy Shripad Naik, among others.
