Mumbai, May 20: A video showing a man assaulting a woman inside a Mumbai local train has gone viral, triggering public outrage. The incident, which occurred on May 16 between Kanjurmarg and Kalyan stations, followed an argument between the two over the man entering a coach meant for specially-abled passengers.
In the 29-second video, the man is seen confronting the woman, accusing her of abusing his mother, before violently attacking her. A fellow passenger intervened to stop the assault.
According to NDTV, a police case has been registered, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused. Both the GRP and RPF have launched a joint investigation into the incident.
