Gurugram, May 19: The National Youth Training Café, organised by YCS/YSM India, was inaugurated on May 17 at the Shofar Convention Centre in Gurugram, Haryana, under the Archdiocese of Delhi.
The programme was inaugurated by Archbishop Anil Couto of the Archdiocese of Delhi. Roshan Lobo, IYCS general secretary from Paris, Anson Nazareth, national president of YCS/YSM, and Fr Chetan Machado, national chaplain of YCS/YSM India, were present.
The training, which will continue until May 22, brings together young leaders and animators from six regions across the country to reflect on the theme ‘Gen Z for a self-sustaining world: Voice of the Voiceless, Healthy Living, and Sustenance’.

The day began with participant registration, followed by a briefing session and an engaging icebreaker that set a warm and vibrant tone for the days ahead.
The inaugural Holy Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Anil Couto, concelebrated by Fr Chetan Machado and other priests from different regions. In his homily, Archbishop Couto told the youth, “You are not just the future; you are the present, too,” encouraging them to take responsibility in shaping society with faith and purpose.
The liturgy was enriched by a melodious choir led by the YCS/YSM team of the Archdiocese of Delhi, adding a spiritual depth to the occasion.
The inauguration marked the beginning of a week filled with learning, leadership development, fellowship, and deeper engagement with the YCS/YSM mission.
