Greater Noida, May 12: Cricket fans are in for a nostalgic treat as legendary players from around the globe gear up to compete in the Intercontinental Legends Championship (ILC), scheduled to begin on May 27 at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex. The grand finale will be held on June 5.
The high-profile tournament will feature former Indian stars Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, and Praveen Kumar, alongside international cricketing icons such as Tillakaratne Dilshan (Sri Lanka), Martin Guptill (New Zealand), and Asghar Afghan (Afghanistan).
The ILC will showcase six iconic teams, each representing a different region of the world:
• Indian Warriors
• African Lions
• Trans Titans (Australia and New Zealand)
• Euro Gladiators
• American Strikers
• Asian Avengers
Manpreet Gony, another former India pacer, will also represent the Indian Warriors. In total, 18 matches will be played in this action-packed tournament designed to rekindle the magic of yesteryear while celebrating cricket’s global reach.
