Bantwal, May 5: Former MP of Mumbai North constituency, Gopal Shetty, visited the residence of Suhas Shetty in Karinje, Bantwal taluk, to offer condolences to the bereaved family. Suhas Shetty was recently murdered by miscreants in Bajpe.
Speaking on the occasion, Gopal Shetty said, “Suhas Shetty was related to me and this inhuman killing is highly condemnable. I am deeply disturbed by the political situation in Karnataka. Around 1,000 murders take place every year in the state, with over a hundred of them occurring in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts alone. This is not in keeping with the cultural values of Karnataka. The state government must take swift and decisive action to prevent such incidents from recurring.”

Present on the occasion were BJP North Mumbai district vice president Harish Ermal, Usha Gopal Shetty, Karnakar Shetty, Jyothi Karnakar Shetty, Udupi BJP general secretary Reshma Uday Shetty, BJP Karkala mandal president Naveen Naik, BJP Yuva Morcha state secretary Vikhyat Shetty, BJP Karkala secretary Suryakant Shetty, former vice president of Karkala Buntara Sangha Vijay Shetty, BJP leaders Devendra Shetty, Satish Poojary, Suhas Shetty, Rakesh Shetty, Prasad, Ravindra Shetty from Mooladka and others.
