Bengaluru, May 3: In a shocking incident, a 46-year-old advocate was brutally hacked to death by unidentified assailants on NICE Road near Kengeri late Friday night.
The deceased, identified as Jagadeesha H, a resident of SMV Layout in Kengeri, was found dead around 150 meters away from his car, which was discovered near CV Raman Estate on NICE Road with its engine running and all doors locked.

The gruesome crime came to light on Saturday after a police complaint was filed by Dr Prabhanjan, a close relative of the victim.
According to the FIR, Jagadeesha had suffered severe head injuries, with a deep wound at the centre, severe lacerations on his leg and abdomen, and his skull was split open, exposing brain matter. The car, a Kia Seltos, was found damaged on both sides with the parking lights still on, but the victim’s mobile phone was missing from the scene.
Dr Prabhanjan, alerted by another relative, rushed to the spot around 10.50 p.m. on Friday. Based on the condition of the car and the distance between the vehicle and the body, the complainant suspects that Jagadeesha was forced out of his car after a deliberate collision and then murdered using a sharp weapon.
Kengeri Police have registered an FIR under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the assailants.
The motive behind the gruesome killing remains unclear, and the police are probing all angles, including personal and professional enmity.
