Mumbai: Bhandary Seva Samiti Organizes Annual Get-together

Mumbai, Jan 18: The metro-based Bhandary Seva Samiti organized its 58th annual get-together at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium of Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East) here on Sunday January 15.

Samiti president, Balakrishna P Bhandary, inaugurated the programme. Samiti honorary general secretary, R M Bhandary, honorary treasurer, Ramesh Bhandary, vice presidents, Padmanabha Bhandary and Shekar Bhandary, joint secretary, Vijay R Bhandary, joint treasurer, Prabhakar P Bhandary, advisory committee president, Sundar G Bhandary, building committee president. Balakrishna Puttur, fund raising committee president, Shivaram S Bhandary, women’s wing president, Lalita V Bhandary, secretary, Vanita S Bhandary, sports committee president, Purushottam Bhandary, vice president, Keshava Bhandary, and secretary, Rahul P Bhandary, Bhandary community veterans, Sanjeev Bhandary Chira Bazaar and others were present.

Samiti vice president, Vijayanand Bhandary, rendered the prayer.  Joint secretary, Narayan R Bhandary, performed religious rituals.  Honorary chief secretary, R M Bhandary, welcomed the gathering.  Padmanabha Sasihitlu compered the programme.

Well-known musician, Sandeep Bhandary Palimar, presented a saxophone musical concert as part of the cultural programme, followed by entertainment programme by community’s children.

‘Bhakta Sudhanva’,Yakshagana episode was staged by the artistes under the leadership of veteran artiste, Polya Laxminarayan Shetty. The Yakshagana performance was directed by Ajekar Balakrishna Shetty.
