Lucknow, Jan 8: Ahead of polls, former minister Anuradha Choudhary left Rashtriya Lok Dal and joined Samajwadi Party on Sunday.

She blamed Ajit Singh's recent tie-up with Congress as the reason behind her break-up. Choudhary has lost the 2009 Lok Sabha election on RLD ticket. "When Choudhary Charan Singh remained anti-Congress all life, we cannot compromise on our principles," said Anuradha.

Lashing out at Ajit Singh, Anuradha termed him as an opportunist who has joined hands with Congress for his ministerial berth. "There should have been issue based pact. Ajit Singh should have cleared his stand on land acquisition and Jat reservation issue. He sidelined both the issues and grabbed the ministerial berth," said Anuradha.

She claimed that Congress was also cheating the farmers as Rahul Gandhi did not bring the proposed land acquisition bill in the parliament. "When Rahul visited Bhatta Parsaul people thought farmer's issues like land acquisition will be addressed but he forgot at a later stage," she said.
