Abu Dhabi: Culture, Education Helping Arab-China Relations: UAE daily

Abu Dhabi, Dec 31 (IANS/WAM) Mutual respect between Arab countries and China is being built through cultural and educational programmes, a United Arab Emirates (UAE) daily has said.

China was a centre of trade and investment in the new world economic order, and as a commercial hub in the Middle East it was important for the UAE to develop strong cultural and commercial relations with the eastern country, said Dubai-based English daily Gulf News.

The value of trade between China and Arab countries has increased steadily and now stands at $150 billion, it said.

The establishment of a school in the UAE by the Chinese community was not only an indication of their long-term commitment to the region, but was also an important platform for building understanding and improving communication.
