UAE Banks to Remain Closed on New Year's Day


Abu Dhabi, Dec 28 (IANS/WAM) The UAE's Central Bank has issued a circular announcing the New Year's day, falling Sunday, to be an official holiday for the banking sector.

The banks will resume their work Jan 2, 2012.

In a circular, the UAE's Central Bank, has urged the banks to ensure that their ATMs were properly stocked with cash at all times.
