Dubai: Reporting Veterinary Diseases Made Mandatory in UAE


Dubai, Dec 24 (IANS/WAM): United Arab Emirates has made it mandatory for all to inform competent authorities or police, in case, they come across any animal which appears to to have contracted any veterinary disease.

UAE's Minister for Environment and Water Rashid Ahmad bin Fahad has issued an ordinance which directs the authorities to report to the ministry as soon as they receive information about the outbreak of any disease. The measure is aimed at taking necessary precautions to contain the disease.

According to the latest direction, no person is entitled to advertise the health status of animals in the media without obtaining the approval of the ministry.
