Mumbai: ‘Ravikiran Award’ for Prof Venkatesh Pai

Mumbai, Dec 23:  Bangalore-based Ravikiran Foundation announced that it would confer the ‘Ravikiran Award’ on Professor Venkatesh Pai, promoter of Karnataka culture, from Dombivali.

The award will be conferred on Prof Pai in Bangalore on Sunday January 1.

Prof Pai’s contributions in promoting ‘Yakshagana’, ‘Taalamaddale’, and ‘Harikathe’in the literary, educational, and social sphere in the metro for two decades has earned him the award.

He had bagged several awards including ‘Vishwa Chetana’ and ‘Yaksha Kalattejaka’.
