Mumbai: TCS to Set Up New Campus in Nagpur


Mumbai, Dec 19 (IANS): Information technology services giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will set up a new software development campus in Nagpur.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan laid the foundation stone of the project Monday.

Sprawling over 500 acres, the campus would be built in two phases.

TCS plans to employ 8,200 professionals in IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) services in Nagpur from the first phase. The campus would help develop local talent and provide customers world-class IT solutions from Nagpur, the company said in a statement.

TCS currently operates from Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra with over 40,000 employees.
