Sharjah, Dec 6: To mark and celebrate the 40th UAE National Day (Spirit of the Union), GMC Medical and Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah in association with Emirates India Fraternity Forum organized a Free Mega Medical and Dental Camp at the GMC Medical and Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah on Friday December, 2.
The all important event was inaugurated by Prof Geetha Ashok Raj, Provost of Gulf Medical University, Ajman.
A special team of specialist doctors, nurses and volunteers conducted free consultations and checkups in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dental, Orthopedic to all the 1800 visitors who attended the Mega Health Camp.
In addition to this, free blood pressure and blood sugar checkup was carried out on the visitors to create awareness about diabetes and hypertension which is one of the most worrisome health issues prevalent in this region. The visitors were also offered 40% discount on the Laboratory and Radiology investigations.
Thumbay Moideen, founder president of Thumbay Group, UAE was felicitated by the co-organizers of the social event for his valuable contribution and tireless support to the humanitarian cause of creating awareness in the matters of health and providing affordable healthcare to all sections of the society.
This human endeavor of GMC Medical and Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah in association with Emirates India Fraternity Forum was well received and highly appreciated both by the public and the organizers of the event.
GMC Medical and Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah supports the clinical teaching activities of the Dental College of Gulf Medical University, UAE Orthodontic, Prosthodontic, Oral Surgery, Endodontic, General Dentistry are some of the specialized dental treatments carried out in the dental clinic.
