Riyadh, Nov 30: Dakshina Karnataka Muslim Okkoota (DKMO), Riyadh held its annual general body meeting for the year 2011 recently here at Half-Moon Banquet Hall.

Meeting commenced with recitation of Quran by Abdul Samad Saqafi.

The Vice President Yousuf Baithar Saqafi briefed the audience about the achievements of DKMO since its inception. General secretary Abdul Azeez presented the annual report and annual financial report was presented by treasurer Abubacker Padibidri.

Yousuf Baithar urged the audience to follow Islam and cited few verses from the Quran
pertaining to serving the poor and needy.

He further said that we are lucky to have this opportunity and a great platform like DKMO to serve the community, which will definitely reward us in this world and the world here after.

He urged all the youngsters to join and support DKMO to carry forward the noble mission, which will be a real help for the poor and needy.

President of DKMO Mohammed Nawaz in his address appreciated and thanked all the members and the committee for their support during his tenure. He further requested all the attendees of the meeting to get more and more members to join and support DKMO.

“If we have more members then we can help family of the deceased expatriates in large numbers through ‘Family Relief Fund’ (FRF) Scheme.

Nawaz dissolved the current committee and requested Abdul Azeez to join him to conduct the election procedure to form a new committee of DKMO for the term 2011-2012.

Total 36 executive committee members were elected for the current term.
