New Delhi, Nov 28 (IANS): India's Rohan Bopanna has dropped out of the top-10 of the ATP doubles ranking after he and his partner Pakistan's Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi suffered three successive losses at the season ending ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Qureshi, however, held on to his 9th position.

Going into the tournament ranked 10th, Bopanna alongwith Qureshi failed to win even a single match. This resulted in German Philipp Petzschner replacing him for the coveted top-10 spot.

Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes who lost in the semi-finals of the World Tour Finals have not gained or lost any points and are seeded seventh and eighth.

Bhupathi and Paes, who announced they were splitting again, are currently seeded fourth in the ATP rankings. The duo are the most successful Indian tennis doubles players with 23 Grand Slam titles between them.

Paes, aged 38, will start next year with Serbian Janko Tipsarevic in Chennai after which he will play Tour events with Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic.

Somdev Devvarman is the highest ranked Indian in the circuit at 84 while Sania Mirza after reaching a career high ranking of 31 in 2005 has dropped to 87th now. In doubles, Mirza is ranked 11th just 20 points behind Russian Elena Vesnina.
