Bahrain: Karnataka Social Club Celebrates Annual Day

Bahrain, Nov 28: The Karnataka Social Club-Bahrain held its annual day celebrations at the Al Murjan Ballroom of Phoenicia recently. A crowd of over 200 attended the event.

The event began with the traditional cutting of the cake by the executive committee members. The chief guest for the occassion was Fr Freddy D'Souza from the Sacred Heart Parish.

A welcome address by president Richard Pais informed the members about the club's standing as of date. A live band 'The Crossroads' enthralled the crowd with their popular mix of English and Hindi hits.

The highlight of the evening was the most impressive couple contest. More than a dozen couples tried to woo the judges with their charm. The eventual winners were Rossi Pais and Carmen Pais while in second place were Melwyn Sequeira and Pamela Sequeira.

Dinner time entertainment included bollywood dances by members children. A lavish buffet was served, after which the Crosswords played Konkani masala to the delight of the members
