Dammam: Khusheim Cricket Club Wins Deccan Cricket Tournament 'Green 2011'

Dammam, Nov 23:
It was Khusheim Cricket Club’s day as the Deccan cricket Tournament Green 2011 came to them for the second time this year.

An unbeatable magnificent century by Afwan Karkala 110 runs not out in 45 balls and a well supported 60 runs by captain Mohammed Sajid took the team to a historical win.

Khusheim Innings started on a shaky note by losing early two wickets. Afwan Karkala and Mohammed Sajid played with patience, when time required accelerated the innings to post, challenging target of 204 in 16 overs.

The Khusheim Cricket Club bowlers were disciplined in the innings, conceded only 63 runs to take 10 wickets, Rafeeq Lakhani bagged 4 wickets and 2 each was taken by Sanjeeva and Shashi. One wicket each was shared by Ali Hajiyani and Mohammed Jameel.

All round performance by the following helped KCC to reach the Finals Salmani, Abdul Mutalib Shoaib Ahmed and heroes of Semi Finals were Mohammed Rifdhi and Nahri.

"It was very proud moment for us to see the team winning the finals again", Khusheim Cricket Club Ex Captain Mohammed Omar Imtiaz said.

In May earlier this year Deccan Cricket Tournament Blue 2011, was clinched by KCC. The heroes of the finals of the earlier match were Mohammed Rifdhi who scored 104 runs and Javed Akhter, who 48 runs, under the captaincy of Mohammed Omar Imtiaz.
