Committed to Arsenal Till Last Day of Contract: Wenger

London, Nov 20 (IANS): Arsene Wenger has rubbished rumours of his leaving Arsenal, saying he is committed to the club till the last day of his contract, which expires in 2014.

"I'm completely committed to this club. I'm committed to my contract," said Wenger, who was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, said after Saturday's 2-1 win at Norwich.

Wenger said he would stay on with the club till the last day of his contract unless he feels he is not good enough to carry on.

"There are many people questioning what I do. If at the end of the season you feel you didn't deliver you have to consider. I'm committed to the club and will respect it to the last day of the contract unless I feel I'm not good enough. I have to honestly rate my performance. Did I take the maximum out of the players? After 15 years I have many questions and have to analyse the situation objectively. It is the club of my life, and will remain so unless I don't do well enough. If I really am a pain," the Frenchmanm was quoted as saying by The Daily Telegraph.

Wenger's interview to French daily L'Equipe, two weeks back, suggested that he would review his position at the end of the season.

"I said the only way I would leave is if I didn't give what was expected," he said.

Wenger said that Arsenal's continued improvement in the last couple of weeks have made him feel increasingly positive.

Asked what according to him would be a good finish in the season, Wenger smiled wryly and said top four is a minimum requirement.

"I have to wait and see the quality of my work at the end of the season - it is not as simple as top four or else. After the 8-2 (defeat at Old Trafford) I was determined to put things right, more than ever. These thoughts are always in my mind - every manager is like that," he said.
