Bahrain: Vishwakarma Puja Mahotsava Celebrated with Devotion

Bahrain, Nov 1: Shri Vishwakarma Seva Balaga, Bahrain hosted the second year celebration of Shri Vishwakarma Puja Mahotsava recently at Karnataka Social Club, Manama with full of energy and devotion.

Renowned astrologer, vastu expert and gem specialist Shri Ashok Purohith was the “acharya” for the entire puja celebrations.

The proceedings started with Kalasha Pratishta and Shri Purohith performed the religious rituals of handing over the wooden Mantap, artistically designed and donated by Shri Sadashiva Acharya, Padubidri, the treasurer of Shri Vishwakarma Seva Samithi Dubai to the president of Shri Vishwakarma Seva Balaga, Bahrain Shri K.B.Jagdish.

This was followed by the recital of Shri Vishwakarma Stotra ,Shri Kalikamba Stotra and Shri Lalithashtotthara Sahasranaamaavali by the ladies of the Balaga. The chanting of melodius devotional songs: Bhajans rendered by Shri Dinesh Kinnigoli , Shri Shantharam Acharya, Shri Sadashiva Acharya, Shri Vasundhar Acharya and Shri Prashanth Acharya from Dubai and Shri Jagdish Shivpura from Mangalore and ably supported by Shri Pradeep Acharya really transformed the atmosphere into divine paradise. At 1.30 PM the prasadam was distributed after the mahamangalarathi. Shri Ashok Purohith spoke a few words about Shri Vishwakarma puja and pray Lord Vishwakarma to bless each n everyone present with health and happiness during their stay in this beautiful country, Bahrain and back home. Thereafter sumptuous mahaprasadam (annasantharpane) was served to all the devotees.

Shri Vishwakarma puja rituals was represented by Smt.& Shri Sadashiva Acharya, Marnad.

The second session after lunch, the entertainment programme started at 3.00PM with prayer, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha by Kumari Divya Damodar. Then Kumari Sandhya Damodar performed the welcome dance gracefully. “Chuku Buku railu” dance presented by Baby Ananya and Baby Saakshi was entertaining. The bollywood dance number “dolare dolare” enacted by Kumari Sandhya Damodar, Kumari Divyabharathi and Kumari Divya Damodar was well received by the audience. The highlight of the dance programme was “Cheluvayya Cheluvo…” Kolata dance. It was very well presented by Smt.Savitha Natesh, Smt.Laxmi Rajesh, Smt.Shobha Praveen, Smt.Reshma Sathish, Smt.Preeti Sharath, Smt.Mohini Sadashiv, Smt.Mangala Srinivas and Kumari Divya Damodar to the thunderous applause from the audience.

The next couple of hours was dominated by SPB of Karnataka coastal belt Shri Dinesh Kinnigoli who rendered some of the melodius mix numbers from old n new Kannada-Hindi film songs and mimics in between. The evergreen Junior Rajkumar Shri Jagdish Shivapura enthralled the audience, recollecting the memories of Kannada matinee stalwart Dr.Rajkumar, in his inimitable style. These two artistes were duly honoured by Shri Ashok Purohith with shawl, fruitbasket, a momento and a citation from the Balaga. The donor of Mantap Shri Sadashiva Acharya, Padubidri was also felicitated by shawl, fruit basket and a momento, for his selfless service to the community. Smt.Astika Sunil Shetty and Kumari Divyabharathi were duly honoured by momentos for their contribution as choreographers of welcome dance and bollywood dance, respectively.

The lucky coupons draw was held in the presence of all dignitaries and the prizes were distributed to those who were present with their lucky coupons. The President of Shri Vishwakarma Seva Balaga, Bahrain Shri K.B.Jagdish, Kinnigoli delivered vote of thanks to one and all, for their unstinted support to make this function a grand success.
