Mumbai: St Peter’s Association (Barkoor) Holds Annual Get together

Mumbai, Nov 1: “No one is greater than God.  The metro-based St Peter’s Association (Barkoor) set an example of remembering their hometown in Udupi district.  Barkoor was the historical capital of a bygone dynasty, and the parish of St Peter’s at Barkoor has the potential to be developed as pilgrimage shrine,” said Barkoor parish priest Fr Alban D’Souza.

He was speaking at the annual get together of metro-based St Peter’s Association (Barkoor), held at Hotel Host-Inn, Marol, Andheri (East), on Thursday October 27.



The Association’s honorary treasurer Antony Dias, former presidents Felix Barnes, Richard Carvalho, Henry Roache, silver jubilee committee president Ida Roache, vice-presidents Norbert Menezes and Vincent Fernandes, joint secretary Ivan Martis, public relations officer Johnson Furtado, managing committee members Joylan Fernandes, Vincent Sequeira, Bony Sequeira, Ralph Monteiro, Arthur Furtado, Reginald Crasto, Arthur Mendonca, Norman D’Souza, and Bens Lewis were present on the dais.

Association president Simon Peter Furtado welcomed the gathering.  Honorary chief secretary Ivan Rebello explained about the service of the association. Secretary Eric Carvalho proposed the vote of thanks.
