Mangaluru: Ban on sale of liquor in Dakshina Kannada district from June 1 to 3

Mangaluru, May 28: In view of the elections for the southwest graduates constituency and southwest teachers constituency 2024, the deputy commissioner, Mullai Mugilan M P, has declared liquor free days across the Dakshna Kannada district from 4 pm on June 1 till the midnight on June 3.

“The ban of sale of liquor has been imposed to ensure holding of fair and free elections in a peaceful environment and to enable maintenance of law and order. All the liquor sales outlets, liquor depots, liquor manufacturing distilleries, star hotels and toddy shops will remain closed in the duration,” states an order from the DC.
