Udupi, May 27: A remarkable incident of honesty and efficiency by railway staff has led to the recovery and return of a valuable trolley bag containing 174 grams of gold and a diamond chain valued at approximately Rs 11.5 lac.

On May 24, Chitravathi and her children were traveling on train no. 12620 from Surathkal station to Kurla Terminus (LTT). Amidst heavy rush and rain, they inadvertently left behind a trolley bag at Surathkal station. The bag was noticed by the on-duty pointsman, who promptly informed Karls K P, the senior station master at Surathkal.

The matter was escalated to UD POST inspector, RPF P V Madhusudhan, Udupi, who reviewed CCTV footage and instructed the on-duty station master to seal the bag with the station master’s seal on all zips. The sealed bag was then sent to Udupi by the next train.

On May 26, Chitravathi personally arrived at Udupi train station to reclaim the trolley bag. After thorough verification and completion of all formalities, the bag was handed over to her in front of CCTV. The contents, including the gold and diamond chain, were intact. The grateful family expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Udupi RPF team and proceeded to Surathkal station to extend their gratitude to station master Karls K P and his dedicated staff.

The on-duty personnel involved in this commendable act include station master Karls K P (emp no 1006) and pointsmen Jagadish and Sanketh at Surathkal station.

Dear Kujuma, for your kind information Honesty is by default, never connect this to Sidaramayya or anyone political party, whatever happens you directly connect to any party either ruling or opposition, this brother who has found and returned the bag was sincere and his upbringing has made honesty and not because of any Raja. kindly requested not to give sick statements

I understand your enthusiasm and exhuberance, my dear Mr Real Kujuma, in praising our dear Chief Minister. You have expressed the feelings of a majority of Kannadigas. But I do not understand one thing: what has ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ to do with this?
