Beltangady: Complaint filed against doctor over man’s death after alleged assault

Beltangady, May 15: A complaint has been filed against a doctor regarding the death of Krishnappa Yane Kitta (58), a resident of Patrame in the taluk, who was allegedly assaulted by veterinarian Dr. Kumar.

Krishnappa's wife, Bharti Dharmasthala, has lodged a complaint against the veterinarian regarding the incident.

In her complaint, she stated, "My husband, Krishnappa, went to Puttur Government Hospital on May 12 due to illness and received treatment. He returned to Kokkada on the night of May 13. While he was standing near Kokkada junction, veterinarian Dr. Kumar allegedly assaulted Krishnappa over a trivial issue, causing him to fall down and subsequently die."

A case has been registered at Dharmasthala police station, and an investigation is underway.

    Rudolf R .Mumbai,You say treating?Need not say .Incase party has enough moos well treated.otherwise who knows?Whatever he does for animals cant be done to a human being.More worth .Hope he will repent it and offers family sympathy.Sad poor people have no voice ,only rich and name has comeout without any punishment..May his soul rest in peace.

    The hallmark of a good doctor is immense amount compassion and empathy towards other living beings; this veterinarian seems to be an odd one out to assault poor Kitta for no valid reason 😢 💔!!!
