Kundapur, Apr 21: Makkala Santhe – 2024 was held at the summer camp for children that is going on at Bal Bhavan of Mahatma Gandhi Park of the city.

Yakoob Khader Gulvadi, cinema director and member of Kannada development authority unveiled ‘Gandhi Parkina Hosa Hoogalu’ book. In his speech he said, “Samudaya cultural organization is organizing this unique summer camp for children every years. This helps for the all round development of children. Kannada means power. There is excellent ability in the words of Kannada.”

Sudhindra Shet, owner of Shet Jewellers of Kundapur was the chief guest. Ramesh Gulvadi, Ganesh Shetty, Sadananda Byndoor, G V Karantha, Vasudeva Gangera and others were present.

Udaya Shetty Padukere compered the event. Makkla Santhe basically makes the children aware of the commercial world. Children open various kinds of shopping malls. Public support them by buying goods from these shops.

This year also young traders were found to take part with lot of enthusiasism. There were shops of Goli Soda, stationery shop, fast food, Mandakki upkari, jackfruit, mango, orange, watermelon, vegetables and sweets. Acquarium fish selling, bangle shops, papad, pickles, various face masks, cool drink and coconut shops attracted the visitors.
