Dwarakish was a stalwart who served the cause of Kannada, lauds Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Apr 17: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday paid his last respects to veteran Kannada film star and producer Dwarakish at the Ravindra Kalashketra.

Speaking after placing a wreath on the mortal remains of Dwarakish, he said the contribution of Dwarakish as a comdedian, film producer and actor for the cause of Kannada can never be forgotten. Though he started as comedian, Dwarakrish had even performed the role of hero and was involved in the service of Kannada language and culture, he said.

Siddaramaiah said Dwarakish had acted with Kannada film stalwarts Dr Raj Kumar, Vishnuvardhan and Ambarish.

The Chief Minister lauded the noble gesture of Dwarakish in donating his eyes and said the actor’s social service will always be remembered.
