"A leader with a wide vision"- would be the apt description of Mr. Albert D'Souza who has been striving for the upliftment of our community. I was thrilled when he announced about Borivli getting an Architecture Training School. May God bless him and his efforts.

Congratulations CKA, Borivali. It is found often that AGM's have become annual rituals. Members are found often coming late or at the fag end meetings cannot be started on time due to lack of quorum etc. No doubt, no one can do anything in this matter except to educate the members on the importance of the AGM and active participation in the deliberations. Many attend with an intention of getting the carrot attached to the stick i.e. dinner after AGM. Parading the needy students who were helped do not augur well as none doubts the integrity of the association and is to be done away with. New faces to be provided opportunity to show case their talents insteading of repeating the same old faces. Competitions like Konkani singing, musical talents, essays in Konkani etc are to be held to further the language in the next generation. The AGM should be a meeting ground for all as there are no other opportunities or programmes for Konkani people held during the year where one can communicate and know each other in a vast parish of IC.

We salute ALBERT W. D'SOUZA for his wonderful speech, as he informed that the association has met the educational needs of six poor children and the New degree college and medical college will be opened by Franciscan brothers from next year which will be benefited for the people from suburbs specially of Borivli, which will have
minority quota. In fact such privilege should be extended to all Catholic Students, who inspite of scoring high marks suffer a lot to get admissions. In fact Bombay Catholic Students lack support.
