Udupi: Man in serious condition rescued by social worker

Udupi, Apr 9: Social worker Vishu Shetty has rescued a man who was lying unconscious for three days in a hut at Havanje and got him admitted to the district hospital.

The doctor attending on the man informed that there was bleeding in his brain.

The person is identified as Kariya Shetty (60). He is alone and his sister had died recently.

Information is available that his wife and children are living elsewhere. Relatives of Kariya Shetty have been requested to contact the district hospital.

    If he had some property, bank FDs, shares etc, even some of his far off relations would have immediately rushed to establish their relationship with poor Kariya and got him treated, after taking his signatures, affidavits etc etc for legal rights; BTW, Kariya will need to drain the blood accumulated in the skull due to bleeding, which would require specialised procedure to drain the blood by a skilled neurosurgeon and would cost a good amount of money; hope some rich person from his clan comes forward to lend financial support to poor Kariya for the procedure!!

    Apathic condition of a person living in middle of us.Family members are elsewhere ,he is alone.Just see for three days lying in house till social worker rescued him.Very sad state of things.Now what will happen to him?Sad.HOpe he will get well soon and go his family or they come to him if ....they accept him.
