Mangaluru: Brutal assault of outstation youth by family members goes viral

Mangaluru, Mar 30: A video depicting members of a family brutally assaulting a youth from an outstation state at Arkula on the outskirts of the city has gone viral on social media.

Rural police are currently investigating the authenticity of the incident. In the video, the youth is seen being attacked with a belt and a wooden stool, while members of the household accuse him of stealing gold and money. The family members can be heard speaking in Tulu and Hindi, while the youth responds in Hindi.

The disturbing act was captured on CCTV installed in the house. Two members of the family can be seen assaulting the youth, while another person accompanying the youth is also subjected to violence. The assaulted youths have since left for their native place.

The public has strongly condemned the manner of the assault, and the rural police are conducting further investigation.

    "The assaulted youths have since left for their native place." - if they were innocent, they would have complained to police ... they would have done some "mischief", so got beaten up ...
