Kaup, Mar 30: A woman police constable attached to Kaup police station killed herself in the police quarters on Saturday March 30.
Jyoti, native of Bagalkot, is the woman who died by suicide. She was working as police constable in Kaup police station.
The mortal remains will be subjected to post-mortem once the family members of deceased will arrive from her native place of Bagalkot. The family members have already begun their journey from Bagalkot towards Udupi.
Kaup tahsildar Pratibha R and Udupi district police ASP Siddalimgappa have visited the spot. The exact reason for the extreme step is not known.
