Bengaluru, Mar 29: Dubbing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as ‘’goonda guru’’ and accusing the Congress party of following ‘’goonda culture,’’ BJP leader R Ashoka claimed that the chief minister’s son Dr Yatindra Siddaramaiah would ‘’face the same situation of going to jail as Rahul Gandhi.’’
Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru on Friday, the BJP leader attacked Yatindra for his ‘’abusive’’ comments against Union Home Minister Amit Shah and termed Dr Yatindra’s comments as ‘’childish and immature.’’
He warned that the BJP would lodge a complaint with Election Commission against Yatindra for describing senior leader Amit Shah as goonda. Ashoka said Dr Yatindra must be under the impression that he will become a big leader by speaking ill of BJP’s national leaders just because he is the chief minister’s son and said the latter’s intellectual level is very poor.
“Now, Yatindra speaks about national politics when he is not fit to speak even about Mysuru politics. If he continues to speak like this, he would face the same fate as that of their leader Rahul Gandhi. So let him be cautious,’’ he advised the former Congress MLA.
However, he claimed that Dr Yatindra cannot see his own father’s goondagiri and alleged that the father-son goondagiri is rampant in Karnataka. ‘’Those who warn that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be slapped with chappals and speaking of the president in singular terms are the real goondas,’’ he said.
‘’Though Rama is there in Siddaramaiah’s name, he is running Ravana rule. Yati is a sanyasi but the words coming out of his mouth are those of Rakshasa. There is no connection between the names of both father and son,’’ he said.
Ashoka claimed that the Congress leaders had assaulted those who chanted ‘’Hanuman Chalisa’’ and their supporters are bragging about Pakistan Zindabad in Vidhana Soudha and warned that the voters would give a befitting lesson to the Congress goondas.
The BJP leader claimed that the BJP-JD(S) alliance was working like milk and
water and indicated that the coordination meeting will be held to ensure that the two parties work even better and boasted that BJP-JD(S) combine will wipe out Congress in the State.
