Mumbai, Sep 30: Marappa R Poojary, vice-president of metro-based Billawar Association and Kannada Sangh, Santa Cruz, died on Tuesday September 27 after a brief illness.
He hailed from Niddodi in Mangalore taluk and resided at Borivali. Poojary is survived by his wife and a son.
Billawar Association vice-president Nityanand D Kotian, Raja A Salian, Premanat P Kotian, Dharmapal Anchan, Ravindra B Amin, Borivali local office vice-president Sundar Poojary, Mohan Amin, Borivali local committee office-bearers and Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited staff participated in the funeral held on Tuesday evening.
Billwar Association president Jaya C Suvarna, honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna, Bharat Co-operative Bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian, and chief executive officer B K Amin conveyed condolences on the untimely demise of Poojary.
