Bengaluru: SMSSS receives Kittur Rani Chennamma State Award for women's empowerment

Bengaluru, Mar 12: The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society (SMSSS) is chosen by the state government for Kittur Rani Chennamma State Award for the year 2023-24 for the organisation's work of empowerment of women. The award was received by its director Fr Clifford Roshan Pinto today at Bengaluru. 

The award is for the tremendous work done to organize, educate, empower and emancipate women for the last three decades and more by the successive directors and the dedicated staff of SMSSS. 

SMSSS is the NGO of diocese of Shimoga and Dr Francis Serrao SJ is its president.
