Lions Club beautifies lower portion of Kundapur flyover, hands over to municipal council

Kundapur, Mar 11: In celebration of its golden jubilee, the International Lions Club has invested Rs 24 lacs to beautify the lower section of the Kundapur Shastri Circle flyover. MLA A Kiran Kodgi inaugurated the program held to officially hand it over to the municipal council.

During the event, MLA Kiran Kodgi emphasized the special initiative taken by the Lions Club to enhance the aesthetics of the flyover section, following due permissions from relevant departments. He urged everyone to take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the beautified area. The founder of the Kundapur Lions Club, Basrur Veerarajendra Hegde's family, was honored with a letter congratulating them for their cooperation in the project.

Lions Club Kundapur president Dr Dinesh Shetty presided over the programme and expressed gratitude to the MLA, assistant commissioner, and the head of the municipal council for their support.

Municipal Council chief executive Manjunath R addressed the gathering, and Lions PDG Prakash Soans, Basrur Rajiv Shetty, and Manjappa Soraba extended their wishes.

The programme included the presence of Jayakar Shetty, Devadas Kamath, Silvester Almeida, Lions Club secretary Dinaker R Shetty, treasurer B Shanker Shetty, Golden Jubilee Festival treasurer Sudhaker Shetty Huntrike, and others.

Dharini Kundapur initiated a prayer, Lions Club president Dr Ramesh Shetty welcomed the attendees, and Golden Jubilee Festival Committee secretary Prakash Bettin proposed a vote of thanks. Sadananda Navada served as the programme's emcee.
