If son and daughter in law are taking good care of elderly parents then well and good. God will bless them. if not , married daughters please take care of your elderly parents. Please dont leave them under the hands of such monster daughter in law. 90% of Daughter in law can never have the same feelings of a daughter and a mother in law can never have the same feeling of the mother. Men need to understand that as you expect your wife to take care of your parents, you too have the responsibility to take care of your wifes parents ( your inlaws).

Aged elderly persons always hungry for food. I think this lady all the time over the Mobile phone and not hearing him. She maybe enjoying the life in Kitty parties. And this old man alone suffering at home in loneliness. He might have told her something that might have made her to get angry with father in law. Counselling to that lady immediately required.

What action do you have now? why did not you gather people around this area and protest against this lady? No, you coward will not come and do any such things as this is not written in your personal Ramayan written by Vedavyasa. You can only create non-sense in front of minority people an show your strength by poisoning innocent minds.

Repeatedly watching the horrific assault video on another hapeless human, I personally feel there is more than enough evidence to try this demonic humanbeing with charges of "attempt to murder"! Moreover; if I am not mistaken, any government employee who remains under detention for more than 24 hours gets automatically suspended from service till the case is resolved! Please note that this is a very personal opinion based on my knowledge and perception of this particular incident; please do your own research and analysis before coming to any conclusions!!!

Hi nitin, do you support this present cruelty towards elderly in law? You drag some other issue where and law and authority is there to take care of it. Or if you are so worried for the past incident, better lodge a FIR. For your information, the guilty was discharged from his religious duties by the concerned religious authority. widen your horizon of knowledge. What is wrong condemn it regardless of cast and creed/ rich or poor.

Detaining is a step in the right direction. She should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. BTW had this been the other way round, the reaction from Woman's and Rights group would have been overwhelmingly strong. So we hope to see that same vigour and desire to prosecute the evil doers is this case too, as we will continue to fight for ALL just causes in our society.

Fate may have brought this to public light, but there are many many incidents which never come in to the open. Many and regularly in age care institutions. Such things are there for all concerned are human. The bad part is there no authority that regulates and takes corrective action officially, police is not fully equipped - they need exposure in Gerontology. There must be a suitable empowered body to look into regulate and take corrective action which accessible to all.

Padmanabha Suvarna (87), was beaten by his daughter-in-law, Uma Shankari. It happened on March 9. 1) In anticipation of International Women's Day 2) What would have happened if it was woman beaten by father-in-law? 3) Is it accepted as per our culture? What do immoral rowdies defending the culture? 4) Does women organizations condemn and demand putting the accused in jail? 5) If it was a minority community issue, what would have been the reaction?
