Doha, Mar 9: CRIC Qatar, a leading cricket organization in the region, proudly concludes yet another successful cricket tournament that captivated players and showcased outstanding talent on the field. The tournament's final match, held at CRIC QATAR grounds, saw Classic Mangalore emerge as the champions after a riveting clash against KCSC team.
Classic Mangalore team claimed victory in spectacular fashion, defeating KCSC by a commanding margin of 146 runs. The hero of the day, Farhan Shirva, earned the prestigious Man of the Match award for his exceptional bowling performance. In a dazzling display of skill, Farhan took an impressive 5 wickets while conceding a mere 20 runs in his spell of 3.1 overs.
Batting first, Classic Mngalore set a formidable target of 234 runs, with key contributions from star players.
Shakir B led the charge with a blazing 44 runs off 18 balls, supported by Naseer Abubaker with 38 runs and Iqbal Iqqu adding 35 runs in just 14.1 overs.
In a spirited attempt to chase down the target, KCSC faced a formidable bowling attack led by Farhan Shirva, who displayed exceptional form, securing five crucial wickets. Zameer Ahmed also played a significant role, contributing with three wickets. As a result, KCSC was bowled out for a meagre total of 88 runs in 12.1 overs.
