Kundapur: Congress leaders Gopal Poojary, Dinesh Hegde extend support to J P Hegde

Kundapura, Mar 8: In a joint statement former MLA K Gopal Poojary and leader of Congress party Dinesh Hegde Molahalli said that they are in agreement with the stand of the party of welcoming people who will join the party as per the stand taken by DCM Shivakumar and other senior leaders.

Poojary and Hegde said, “We have information that former MP Jayaprakash Hegde is joining Congress. Discussion in this regard is held at high command level. He has got the confidence of voters earlier as a Congress MP of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha Constituency. We will welcome him if he joins Congress party.”

The duo also said that they will work for the victory of any candidate declared by the party as they are the faithful workers of the party.

District Congress committee spokesperson K Vikas Hegde, former presidents of zilla panchayat Sarasu D Bangera, Jyoti V Puthran, state IT cell chief secretary Chandrashekhar Shetty, eminent leaders of the party Devananda Shetty Halnadu, Ramesh Ganiga Kollur, Madan Kumar Uppunda, Vijaydhara Poojary, town municipality member Abu Mohammed and NSUI leader Sujan Shetty also gave a joint statement in this regard.
