Bantwal, Feb 26: In a devastating accident at Padibagal gate along the road from Vittal to Alike, two auto-rickshaws collided head-on, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving eight others injured. The deceased, identified as Ammu Moolya (69) from Madiala, lost her life in the collision.
The injured individuals include Hameed (65) from Erumbu, Ravikumar (45) from Padibagal, Veena (45), Rama (56), Zora (42), Sai Krithi (26), Sharmila (42), and Zameer (13), all residents of Padibagal.
The auto-rickshaws were driven by Hamid from Erumbu and Ravi from Padibagal. The impact of the collision was severe, with one of the vehicles plunging into a roadside drain.
Bantwal traffic police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
