‘Go Back Shobha’ campaign emerges among BJP activists as Karandlaje announces LS candidacy

Daijiworld Media Network – Chikkamagaluru (MS)

Chikkamagaluru, Feb 22: Following MP Shobha Karandlaje's declaration of her intention to contest Lok Sabha (LS) elections for the third consecutive time, BJP activists have initiated a ‘Go back Shobha’ letter campaign. Letters expressing discontent with Karandlaje's performance and advocating for new faces in the constituency have reportedly been sent to the party's national leaders.

The letter highlights Karandlaje's alleged lack of significant contributions to her constituency despite winning twice in succession. It urges against granting her a ticket for the upcoming elections and advocates for the nomination of fresh candidates.

Amidst uncertainty regarding the candidate for the Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency, despite the BJP-JD(S) alliance, the emergence of this internal campaign has sparked intrigue within the party.

If Udupi & Chikmagalur people have any sense of self-respect, they will not vote for this arrogant, self-obsessed MP !!! She has taken her seat and people for granted. Time to teach her a lesson in humility.

I always thought that those who support BJP, support the candidates ideologies more than the candidate. What happened with Shobha tells us that BJP supporters do know the difference between a performing candidate and a non performing candidate. My question is why don't they apply the same logic to the union ministers in the central government too who do not perform.

Sobakka comes to her constituency for "Eki minit", then disappear. Then who will support her candidature? Give ticket to Pramod Madhwaraj, who has experience working in all the political parties!
