Mangaluru: Street play on ‘Aids Awareness’ organised by Mangala College

Mangalore, Feb 19: Youth Red Cross Society Unit of Mangala College of Allied Health and Paramedical Sciences organized Street Play on ‘Aids Awareness’ on February 17 at KSRTC bus stand Bejai, Mangaluru.

Institution firmly believes that the future generation has the ability to sensitize community and prevent spread of HIV. Students were successful in creating health awareness among the people by displaying placards with slogans, provided health information about the precautions of HIV and also delivered message to change the mindset of the society looking towards HIV positive persons.

On this occasion, principal Prof Pratijna Suhasini G R, vice principal Prof Geethalaxmi IA, admission officer Dr Dharmaraja K, PRO Vijesh Kumar, Whatsup Kudla digital creator John Rohan and YRCS programme officer and members were present. Twenty volunteers took part in the street play.

Dr Ganapathi P, the chairman of the Mangala Group of Institutions, has always encouraged and supported faculty and students to run these kinds of awareness campaigns for the benefit of society.
